Nick and Darren win the 2006 Isle of Man TT Sidecar Double!!

'The ECU system kept shutting down, it was a real nightmare,' revealed Nick after race B in which he and Darren chalked up their third victory in two years to keep the chair honours solely on Manx soil for a third successive year. 'We simply haven't had time to set the engine control unit up properly,' continued Nick, a podium finisher as a passenger in the late 90s before switching to a driver.
'We got a +2 at Glen Helen on lap one and I thought "that'll do", but then the engine started cutting out and flashing lights came on on the dashboard — it was like a disco. 'I had to take my left hand off the bars and keep switching the ignition on and off to re-set the thing and keep the motor going. It was seriously bad and I was all set to pull in at Sulby and head for home.' But Nick persevered with the problem, sometimes resetting it once every mile or so to keep it going.
'I don't know how someone didn't catch us,' he added.
